On Wednesday, August 19, The Independent Picture House partnered with Bechtler Museum of Modern Art and Charlotte Mecklenburg Library – Main Library for a screening of The Diving Bell and the Butterfly (2007) in the Wells Fargo Auditorium. The event included a post-film discussion with Artist David McGee.

The evening offered a reminder of the capacity of awe and wonder, and of the ways film can invite us to see the world and ourselves differently.
