Join The Independent Picture House and Sugaw Creek Recreation Center for the screening of the documentary My Soul Speaks. This film was shot and produced in 2003/2004, following several Charlotte-based Spoken Word Artists. This film shows the dedication and creativity of all the artists who devote their lives to showcasing their latest poem.

This screening will be followed by a discussion with the director Steve Rutherford, as well as Spoken Word Artist Bluz Rogers.
