Live from the Double Door Inn

Opens on December 22

Run Time: 90 min.

Opened in 1973, The Double Door Inn in Charlotte, NC served as a touchstone for blues, rock, zydeco, and reggae musicians around the world.

Music royalty, including Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Koko Taylor, and J. J. Cale, as well as countless local legends, graced the stage in this converted house.

Sadly, economic pressures caused the club to close in 2017.

This film traces the history of the club, from its humble beginnings to international fame and the hundreds of stories in between.

Featuring interviews with club owner Nick Karras and over a dozen musicians, bartenders, music promoters, and fans.
