Indie on Wheels goes out into the community to remove the barrier of transportation so more people can enjoy independent and arthouse film. All Indie On wheels events include a post-screening with local subject experts and/or filmmakers!

Join The Independent Picture House and Sugaw Creek Rec Center on Wednesday, Feb. 12th for a free screening! Attendees will gather to watch the 2008 documentary, More Than A Game, which follows NBA superstar LeBron James and four of his talented teammates through the trials and tribulations of high school basketball in Ohio and James’ journey to fame.

A talkback will follow focused on youth sports in Charlotte with our speaker Hunter McIntosh who is a standout collegiate basketball player and scholar-athlete. A Georgia native, he starred at Greater Atlanta Christian School, earning 3A Player of the Year honors before playing three seasons at Elon University. There, he was a two-time All-CAA selection and the conference’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year. He later transferred to the University of Nevada, where he played two seasons and set a program record for three-pointers in a game. Hunter’s journey reflects dedication on and off the court, making him an inspiring voice for student-athletes.
