Frankiee Veney is a Charlotte-based writer, producer, director, and creative strategist committed to telling powerful, culturally rooted stories. As the founder of Nine Ninth Productions, he leads a creative collective focused on turning bold ideas into reality and creating opportunities for emerging voices in entertainment.
His scripts have garnered more than a million views, a reach that carried him into Tubi’s Beyond the Quad, where he created and led the writers’ room as Writing Supervisor, shaping a series that would go on to land on Tubi’s Most Popular list. His writing on Pretty Vee Presents: Vee’s House,
a short film series released on YouTube, helped lay the groundwork for Sharoonn Said It!, the sold-out live show he went on to script at Centerstage in Atlanta, GA.
He brought that same instinct to The Drop Music Series, a live production platform he created to spotlight emerging music artists across Charlotte and the surrounding areas. Today, he serves as Creative Producer for the talk show The Outlet with Pretty Vee, helping shape the show’s creative vision, episode development, and storytelling from production through release.
Frankiee wrote and produced Blooded, a short film about a family unraveling under the weight of unspoken jealousy and resentment, which earned him the Audience Choice Award at the Charlotte Black Film Festival. The film also screened at the Urban Film Festival and the South Carolina Black Film Festival and earned a Film of the Year nomination from the Southern Entertainment Awards.
At the heart of Frankiee’s work is a desire to expand the range of Black stories being told, creating space for stories that are entertaining and culturally honest while opening doors for
