Cuba, 1972: Fritz, a young Stasi officer, is sent to Havana to oversee the official handover of Isla Ernesto Thälmann. The island off the Cuban coast is a gift from Fidel Castro to the German Democratic Republic (GDR), a sign of the close friendship between the “socialist brother” states during the Cold War. Fritz‘s mission is to thwart a possible CIA assassination attempt on Castro during the handover. But his mission does not go according to plan, and when he meets a mysterious Cuban woman named Lola, the Cold War begins to really heat up for Fritz.
Cuba, 1972: Fritz, un joven oficial de la Stasi, es enviado a La Habana para supervisar la entrega oficial de la Isla Ernesto Thälmann, un regalo de Fidel Castro a la República Democrática Alemana (RDA) como muestra de la estrecha amistad entre estos dos “hermanos socialistas” durante la Guerra Fría. La misión de Fritz es frustrar un posible intento de asesinato de la CIA contra Castro durante la entrega.
