In collaboration with Queens University of Charlotte, Black Girl Environmentalist, and Sustain Charlotte, we are proud to present a screening of A Man Named Pearl.
This award-winning documentary tells the inspiring story of self-taught topiary artist Pearl Fryar. The film highlights his extraordinary creativity while offering a powerful message about self-respect, mutual respect, and the transformative possibilities that emerge when one embraces the full expression of their humanity.
The film’s Director, Scott Galloway, Meg Fencil of Sustain Charlotte and Maya Espinosa of Black Girl Environmentalist will will join us for a post screening discussion of the film.
