Join us for a community conversation with award-winning set decorator Summer Eubanks as she reflects on her professional journey working across film and television. Drawing from decades of experience on major studio productions and acclaimed series, Eubanks will offer insight into the creative, collaborative, and practical dimensions of set decoration, from breaking into the industry to navigating long-term, sustainable careers.

This event is open to emerging and established artists, designers, and creatives working in or aspiring toward careers in film, television, and related creative industries.

Summer Eubanks is an award-winning set decorator for film and television with an extensive body of work spanning major studio features and acclaimed television series. Her credits include Homeland, Paper Towns, Lovecraft Country, Outcast, The Resident, Raising Dion, Vice Principals, Army Wives, The Notebook, Dear John, All the Real Girls, Failure to Launch, Juwanna Man, and Shallow Hal, among many others. Several of her projects have been filmed in the Charlotte region. Eubanks has received industry recognition for her work, including nominations from the Art Directors Guild and the Set Decorators Society of America for her contributions to contemporary and genre television series.

Moderator: Amanda Medina is a set decorator and clearance manager working across television and film, known for her keen eye for detail and deep understanding of storytelling through space and texture. With years of experience bringing scripted worlds to life, she has collaborated on acclaimed productions with Lionsgate, Universal, and Netflix, helping shape each project’s visual tone from the inside out.

A dedicated film enthusiast, Amanda brings both technical expertise and a rich appreciation for cinema history and design to every conversation. As a moderator, she offers thoughtful insight and creative curiosity, drawing connections between artistic vision and practical execution.

Amanda is a member of the International Alliance of Stage Employees (IATSE), the Set Decorators Society of America (SDSA), and The Copyright Alliance. Her credits include The Hunting Wives, Please Don’t Destroy: The Treasure of Foggy Mountain, Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret, and more.
